OFFICIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern participation in the Biggest Talent Africa competition ("the Competition"). By entering, submitting content, voting, or otherwise participating, all participants and voters agree to be bound by these T&Cs.

1. ORGANISER

The Competition is organised and promoted by Unicorn Network Inc., registered under U.S. Laws in Oregon, duly operating in accordance with all applicable international laws ("the Organiser").

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 The Competition is open to individuals who:

  • Are 14 years of age or older at the time of entry.
  • Are citizens or legal residents of an African country, where participating in competitions like this one is not prohibited.
  • Have the legal and technical capacity to enter the Competition.

2.2 Participants under the age of 18 must obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian before entering Phase 2 of the Competition.

2.3 Employees, contractors, agents, or immediate family members of the Organiser, sponsors, or partners are not eligible to win prizes.

3. COMPETITION FORMAT

3.1 The Competition is primarily virtual, with all early rounds conducted via video submissions.

3.2 The Competition consists of the following stages:

  • Nominations Phase (Phase 1)
  • National Voting Phase (Phase 2)
  • Online Country Battles 1 Phase (Phase 3)
  • Live Grand Finale (Top 8 contestants) (Phase 4)

3.3 Only the Top 8 contestants will advance to the live grand finale.

4. ENTRY & SUBMISSIONS

4.1 Entry into the Competition is free of charge.

4.2 Participants must submit original video recordings as instructed for each round.

4.3 Submitted content must:

  • Be original and not infringe on any third-party rights.
  • Not contain offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate material.
  • Comply with submission guidelines issued by the Organiser.

4.4 Late or incomplete submissions may be disqualified at the Organiser's discretion.

5. VOTING

5.1 Voting is conducted exclusively on the official Competition website.

5.2 Voting opens and closes as publicly announced by the Organiser on the official website at www.biggesttalent.africa

5.3 The Organiser reserves the right to:

  • Monitor voting activity.
  • Disqualify contestants involved in vote manipulation, fraud, or abuse.

5.4 Vote counts will not be publicly disclosed; only rankings or results will be announced.

6. PEOPLE'S FAVOURITE

6.1 In each Phase (excluding the Grand Finale), one or more Most Famous contestant(s) may be awarded.

6.2 Most Famous Awards are based on audience engagement and voting trends and are independent of elimination outcomes.

7. PRIZES

7.1 The Grand Prize Winner (winner of Phase 4) will receive:

  • A professional music production opportunity with an international producer team.
  • An international performance opportunity (Las Vegas or London).
  • A cash prize of USD $10,000 (or equivalent).

7.2 Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for alternatives.

7.3 The Organiser reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value if necessary.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & MEDIA RIGHTS

8.1 By entering, participants grant the Organiser a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual licence to use submitted content for promotional, broadcast, and commercial purposes.

8.2 Participants consent to the use of their name, image, voice, and likeness for publicity related to the Competition.

9. CONTENT REVIEW & DISQUALIFICATION

9.1 The Organiser reserves the right to:

  • Review, edit, or remove any submitted content.
  • Disqualify participants who breach these T&Cs.

9.2 Decisions made by the Organiser are final and binding.

10. DATA PROTECTION

10.1 Personal data collected will be used solely for Competition administration and communication.

10.2 Data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

11.1 The Organiser shall not be liable for:

  • Technical failures or system errors.
  • Lost, delayed, or corrupted submissions.
  • Any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation.

12. FORCE MAJEURE

The Organiser shall not be held responsible for delays, modifications, or cancellations caused by events beyond its reasonable control.

13. AMENDMENTS

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these T&Cs at any time. Updated terms will be published on official platforms.

14. GOVERNING LAW

These T&Cs are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Oregon.
